My Birthday

For my birthday my brother gave me Marvel Pint Glass with Spiderman, Ironman, Hulk & Thor. My brother in law gave me Alesmith's Speedway Stout and Pelican's Mother of All Storms which is their barleywine aged in bourbon barrels. My Mom gave me Hair of the Dogs Ruth which is their Pale and one my birthday I had the Lamb by Fremont Brewing. It is an american saison aged in oak wine barrels that I got back in July. After drinking I am no sad that they most like not brew it again but it was oh so tasty.

January 26th

Today we went to Fremont Brewing, Hilliard's Brewing, and Maritime Pacific Brewing. I tried the Fremont Abominable Ale with mint and orange and the Super Duper IPA with Cardamon. At Hilliard's I had the Murdered Out Stout and Chrome Satan. At Maritime I had the Night Watch Dark Ale. I can't decide which one I liked the most the Super Duper or the Chrome Satan. They are both two of my favorite breweries. There hasn't been anything I did not like. Still a good tasting none the less!

Barreled Age Beer

Beer Junction turned over a majority of their taps to barrel aged beers. I tried the Uinta Sea Legs Oak Baltic Porter, the Great Divide Rumble Oak Age IPA, the Black Diamond Bourbon Grand Cru and the Woodchuck Bourbon Cider. My favorite was the Baltic Porter, balanced smooth with chocolate notes. So delicious!

Playoff Season

At the Beer Junction today watching Broncos/Raven. Had the Rogue 15K Belgian Stout, 7 Seas Royal Port Stout, and Oskar Blue G'Knight Imperial Ale. All were delicious! The one that I enjoyed the most was the 15k from Rogue. I also picked up the Rye on Rye from Boulevard which is a rye ale aged in rye whiskey barrels and Firestone Walker Wookey Jack which is a black rye ipa.

Monk beer

On New Year's Eve I got to try the Monk Beer from Belgium that was being released here once so the monastery can get a new roof. Not bad, not what I was expecting. I also go Rogue's Yellow Snow IPA because I beat my mom in fantasy football!
